Carl Zwingli began painting oils in the 1960s, and suspended almost all his artistic activities to focus on his business. He resumed painting in his retirement. As a member of the Mooresville Artist Guild and the Foothills Painters’ Group, Zwingli frequently exhibits with the groups, as well as in local galleries in North Carolina and the Hickory Museum of Art.
