A recipient of the Jerome Ceramic Artist Project Grant for emerging artists of Minnesota, Michael Arnold is known for integrating the fundamentals of form within the parameters of the functional ceramic vessel. A wood-fire artist, his work explores the juxtaposition of subtle surfaces and dynamic form that, in their dynamism, become personifications, and lead the viewer to develop an affinity for the simple, inanimate object. Arnold’s work is seen both in exhibitions and design stores.
